What are thermal labels?
Thermal labels are labels designed for printing with thermal printers. There are two types: direct thermal labels (no ribbon needed, for short-lived applications) and thermal transfer labels (with ribbon, for permanent markings). etitex AG supplies both types in all materials, sizes and core sizes.
Direct thermal labels
Direct thermal labels are printed without a ribbon directly by heat. Cost-effective and easy to use. Applications: shipping labels, receipts, best-before labels. Disadvantage: sensitive to heat, light and abrasion – not suitable for long-term labeling.
Thermal transfer labels
Thermal transfer labels require a ribbon and provide more durable, smear-proof and UV-resistant prints. Applications: production labeling, barcodes, warehousing and all applications requiring long service life. etitex AG supplies compatible with CAB, Zebra, Honeywell, TSC and all common printers.
