Legal requirements for food labels
In Switzerland, food labels must comply with the Food Safety Act (LDA). Mandatory information: product name, full ingredient list with allergen labeling, nutritional declaration, best-before date, net weight and manufacturer details. The label material must be food-safe and must not release harmful substances.
Food safety and materials
etitex AG produces food labels with food-safe adhesive and low-migration inks that do not transfer substances into food. For products in contact with moisture or fats, PP or PE film labels are recommended. Special freezer adhesives are available for frozen products.
Small and large runs
etitex AG produces food labels in small to large runs – from artisan specialties to industrial production. On rolls for labeling machines or as sheets for in-house printing. Custom die-cuts, sequential numbering and barcodes are available.
